This is a one day course aimed at advanced Users and Super Users particularly System Administrators.
During an implementation, the ultimate super users/system administrators undertake a series of super user and system administration training courses on the Unit4 ERP product and menu items, showing them how to configure elements of the system and teaching them how to manage the system and user enquiries post “Go Live”.
This System Optimisation course is more of a “Being a system administrator – what good looks like” training day. It is aimed at covering a number of elements that a good systems administrator should keep on top of, such as:
• Some useful tips and tricks that can help the system administrator to do his/her job
• Looking after users, master files, roles, menus, Batch input and items to follow up
• Data integrity issues and data structures
• Cross checking different BW clients and ensuring consistency across a build
• System data and system parameters
• Transaction review
• Amendment logging
• System performance
It has been put together following decades of experience both managing systems and also assisting clients with issues, and pulls in examples and scenarios that explain what to look for, what issues can often be faced, and how system administrators can help themselves using the concept of prevention rather than cure.
There may be time during the course for attendees to share examples of issues and challenges faced which we can then explore and propose solutions for as an interactive group.
The course will run from 9.30 – 4.30 each day with an hours break for lunch and time during the morning and afternoon for delegates to get a drink/snack etc.
Training manuals will be provided electronically along with a link to the session which will be delivered via Zoom.
There will be plenty of time for you to ask questions and groups will be kept small with a maximum of 6 delegates per session so that everyone has the chance to absorb and digest what they are learning.
Please note: As sessions are being delivered remotely due to the current Covid 19 situation, there may be some unavoidable background noise or interruptions. In addition if we do experience the odd technical glitch – we will do whatever we can to ensure they are overcome as quickly as possible.
